The organizers of the 33rd annual Kokomo City Hermit Crab Marathon, sponsored by Pfizer, are looking for volunteers to help keep the birds away. No, 2011 winner and record-setting hermit crab Big Time Rush won’t be there, but his shell will be on display. Expect Main Street to be closed for most of the week as they prepare for the event, and you might even see Stephen A. from ESPN. The Summit House presents America’s newest bloodsport this Tuesday in the José Cuervo Ballroom, so come check it out. And the apple pie eating contest at Vincent Price Middle School is going to look a little bit different this year. Be prepared. Finally, complications arose in Tupper‘s class on how to quiet all of the crazy voices inside your head using B-complex vitamins in the old smoking section of the Denny’s. The class will not be rescheduled.

The Kokomo City crime report has a new sponsor, and the Kokomo City Playhouse presents a new twist on William Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. Spoiler alert…Sir Patrick Stewart is involved. Make sure you bring cash, because there is something for sale in the lobby after the performance that you are going to want to buy. Also, the Kokomo City Playhouse prefers that you pay in cash because then everyone gets paid faster.
